I used Sunday as a day to recharge from the weekend activities and relax...like most Chileans do. I started class this Morning (Monday) at 10am. It was great. It's me and 9 chicas...and thanks to a fun weekend we are already friends. The class was not bad at all...the teacher talks slowly so we can all understand and participate...it went by fast. We are going to be reading short stories and presenting analysis to the class. I have to have a 30 minute presentation ready for next week...I'm going to learn Spanish very quickly.
After class we all went out for lunch together in the cafeteria...it was really good and reasonably priced (total of about $4.75 USD for everything). We walked around the city for HOURS...I bought a memory card for the camera today so you will start to see some pics from here on out! Hopefully I can figure out how to post them...We had a great time walking around, laughing...and even seeing people we know on the street...crazy right?
I took everyone into the amazing church I went to with Rodrigo the first day here and they all enjoyed it. I really like the girls so far...most girls at Saint Joe's kinda annoyed me but everyone I've met so far has been really nice, cool, and funny. I think this adventurous environment brings together a lot of people that have common interests. We stopped into a little restaurant for a cold cerveza (it's about 84 degrees here)...we sat and talked for a few hours until about 7:30pm...it was a fun day. I came home and had a nice dinner with Judith, Francisco, and a friend Mario. We laughed a lot at dinner...sometimes at stories, sometimes at me, and sometimes at Francisco trying to pronounce the word "cottage". We had arroz con huevos...or rice and eggs...Judith was very proud of herself for knowing the English word "eggs" her vocabulary increased by 33% with that little addition.
After dinner I talked with some friends online and I'm about ready to call it a night...we are planning on getting together tomorrow night so I gotta deposit extra in the sleep bank tonight.
